What we’re up to

12 May

Hello all! We have been woefully inadequate in keeping our website updated but we are working on making this a place where you can follow all the exciting things that we are doing…because we are doing. Though we’ve not been very good at talking about what’s happening, rest assured we are in the world helping!
Coming soon will be information about our volunteers, our recipients, and fun ways for you guys to participate in our mission both on line and in person. We are excited to have great stuff going in DFW and in NYC and look forward to some “bi-coastal” (HEY…the gulf is a coast) events as well.
Thank you, guys, for going with us. And we are , as always, excited for the next step.

GIDEON’S FEET KICKS OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH OUR 5th ANNUAL BENEFIT “SUGAR COOKIE GALA”

SPONSORED BY DALLAS CHILDREN’S THEATER

DFW “It Boy” Kyle Igneczi and Musical Director (and Gideon’s Feet beneficiary) Adam Wright will charm the crowd with their inimitable piano stylings. Their music creates a warm, elegantly casual atmosphere in which revelers decorate their own special Sugar Cookies and enjoy bidding in the Silent Auction (featuring unique Paper Snowflakes created especially for the event by Broadway’s Don Darryl Rivera, and individually autographed by stars of stage and screen). You may even find yourself confronted by The Grinch himself (he’s been known to crash a Christmas Gala here and there!)

Sponsored by the Dallas Children’s Theater, this fun, family-friendly evening raises funds to support the organization’s primary mission: providing financial assistance for Dallas/Fort Worth theatrical artists in times of unforeseen crisis.

Individual tickets are available in advance at GideonsFeet.org for a minimum requested donation of $15,  or $20 at the door. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted at the event for Admission, Silent Auction winnings, and Individual Donations.

“We’re thrilled to kick off the holiday season with a delicious and loving evening of music, food, and FUN!” says Ashley Puckett Gonzales, Founder of Gideon’s Feet. “The Christmas Event is always such a heartwarming chance to connect with the community that we serve.”

Where we are!

Well, first of all we have officially expanded to NYC and our inaugural event was a ball. We are so excited to be serving two communities and cannot wait to see what happens in the future.

As to right now Well, DFW get ready for our Sugar Cookie Gala on Dec 7th at the Dallas Children’s Theatre. As always, family friendly and fun. We’ll have food, drink, fun and entertainment. Save the date and keep a look out for details coming soon.

NYC look for a fun event coming in February! We can’t wait to create more fun.

ALSO We have a need in our community! Please help our friend Jason Kane. There’s a link to his GoFundMe below. He’s a good guy who has had a rough go of it. He was a full-time caretaker for his mother and grandmother. He’s been out pursuing his dreams and goals and has hit some bumps in the road. Please consider helping him get back on his feet!
